Unique BSG Online Hacks and Cheats To Amplify Your Score

The Business Strategy Game (a Glo-Bus game) by Arthur A. Thompson, Jr. and Gregory J. Stappenbeck causes many business strategy students to panic when they first see this business simulation game. The Glo-Bus simulation is a complex algorithm that can be "hacked and cheated" if you know what you are doing. I am here to give you some of those sweet BSG Game "cheats" that will help you greatly improve your game score if used appropriately.
Now, every game is dramatically
different, but the process of making good decisions each year is relatively the same. That being said, these BSG Game "hacks or cheats" might not work for your specific situation. I am writing this based on if you were starting the Business Strategy Game from SCRATCH (year 11).

Alright, let's get you those BSG Online hacks!
Hack #1 is using your arrow keys to make decisions. This might sound dumb, but trust me, you will save HOURS and HOURS of time during decision-making if you simply start using your arrow keys to change the numbers on the BSG game.
That being said, you can go to your corporate lobby and click the decisions button to get over to the page where you start putting in decision entries. Here you can begin your journey into "cheating" on BSGOnline.
You will first click on an entry. For example, you can click on the base wage drop-downat, then click it again. You now have access to one of the deepest darkest secrets of BSG Online.
Press your arrow key once down. Did you see the number change? Yeah? You can do this technique for so many different decision entries.
Another example would be changing wholesale prices. Here instead of clicking twice, you only have to click the box once and you are off to the races!
What happens if my arrow keys don't work?
Don't worry! Most likely you can try a different web browser or you can try to change the game to v2 in the address bar. You can go to the link on the top of the page and type v2 instead of v3. BE CAREFUL THOUGH!
You have to save before you do this or all your hard work will disappear into nothingness. I have also noticed that for whatever reason, MacBooks don't easily allow this tactic to be used. Some people have success via Google Chrome instead of using Safari.

Let's get into hack #2. So, now that you know the almighty secret to make decisions quicker, let's get into making more solid choices. Since the Business Strategy Game is simply, a game. You can think of it like playing a video game with cheat codes.
The cheats don't beat the game for you, they just make it easier to beat. You still have to put in some amount of work to get the results you desire. Anyone that says you can simply copy this number that number and get a good score is a liar.

So, you know you have to put in some work making decisions, but it's going to be much faster and way better. For hack #2, you will learn that all the decisions are interconnected and BSG Onlien will pretty much show you how to make the best decisions!
First, you will have to do a little legwork though. If you head over to the wholesale marketing page, do you see the competitive assumptions at the bottom? If you can figure this out, you can BEAT BSG.
To do proper competitive assumptions is difficult though. You have to understand and guess what your competition will be doing this decision year which is much easier said than done. Please be careful not to screw this up either.
If you happen to make competitive assumptions on the Business Strategy Game that are further from what they ACTUALLY are, you will notice a huge drop in your projections to actual scores. Many students are confused why they were projecting such high EPS, ROE, and Image Rating to only find out their score sucked this year. This is why.

This one expands on the Business Strategy Game cheat #2. Once you know your competitive assumptions you can start to play with the numbers and the game will pretty much tell you exactly what to do. For example, you will notice that if you change wholesale prices in North America, your EPS will go up or down. If you did BSG hack #2 correctly, you will be well on your way to win BSG.
*Caution* This hack can be tricky! You have to make sure that some things are in place before going all out on supercharging your EPS, ROE, Stock Price, Credit Score, and Image Rating.
For example, you will want to first make sure you have an ample amount of surplus in the geographic location that you are working on. This will allow you to mess with wholesale price, internet price, search engine advertising, brand advertising, delivery time, and other decision entries to find the best combinations.
